Emily Palmieri

Emily grew up in Bridgewater, NJ. She moved to Palmer Township, PA in 2004, Breinigsville in 2008 and her current home in Allentown in 2010.

Emily has worked with children in various capacities since the age of 12: Mother’s Helper, Babysitter, Daycare worker, Corporate Childcare Teacher, Before & After School Program Supervisor, Camp Counselor, Teacher, Swim Coach, Parent Volunteer in classrooms and the school library, and Substitute Teacher.
She attended Raritan Valley Community College (AA in Liberal Arts), Northampton Community College, and East Stroudsburg University (BS in Early Childhood Education).

Emily was drawn to Seven Gen while looking into Kindergarten options for her daughter. She admired the school’s philosophy, commitment to sustainability, hands-on learning approach, and outdoor classroom ideas.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family: husband Jeff, and kids Will (b. 2000), Emma (b. 2002), Ruby (b. 2011), and Leo (b. 2014). She likes being outdoors for hiking, camping, bike riding, Mommy Boot Camp workouts, and swimming. She started swimming competitively at age 6, and most recently completed the 1.5-mile open water swim at Lake Nockamixon in mid-July.
She’s interested in all things environmental, sustainable, and eco-friendly!

Rachel Baker

Rachel is pleased to return to education after almost 15 years working in Behavioral Healthcare throughout Bucks county and the Lehigh Valley with adults and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Union Institute and University. Rachel holds a PA teaching certificate, as well as a PA Professional Counseling license. After learning about Seven Generations through the community and talking with staff, she knew that it would be a good fit to be in a school that was able to give the children an exciting project-based approach to learning.
While not at work, Rachel, her family-children, stepchildren and grandchildren-enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking all over PA, creating art for her home and attending local museums and cultural outings.
