Megan Roth

Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Roth grew up and still lives here in the Lehigh Valley.  She went to college at East Stroudsburg University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2015 and continued her career at Sheetz. While she was in college she worked as an Assistant Dance Instructor for a short time, volunteered as the Nursery Director at her church, and also took on the role of the Vacation Bible School Instructor. Mrs. Roth recently just received her Masters of Education degree with a focus on technology and creativity.

She began substitute teaching at Seven Gen in September 2016. She was in awe that there was still a school out there that created a rich learning environment for young children and not an environment where children learn how to take a test. The philosophy of education at Seven Gen lines up exactly with her philosophy of teaching. The environment that Seven Gen creates is one that she always dreamed of having when she became a teacher. She also adores how much Seven Gen loves the environment and how they teach young children to cherish and take care of our planet. The great outdoors is very important to her and she is passionate about encouraging children to feel the same!

In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with my husband, their two daughters, and their two cats (Phoebe & Ross.. I’m sure you can guess what she loves to watch in her free time). In their time together they enjoy hiking, fishing, traveling, gardening (well, trying to!), watching Disney movies and spending time with their families who live very close by. The best thing in life is enjoying the great outdoors and all the adventures it provides! Oh, and Mrs. Roth’s lifelong dream is to one day own a beautiful horse!
