Heather lives in Allentown with her husband and daughter. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Kutztown University and is also certified to teach middle school and high school English/Language Arts. She obtained an M.S.W. from Marywood College. After her work as a clinical therapist for a few years, Heather missed the classroom setting. She was hired as a fifth grade classroom teacher at Muhlenberg Elementary School, in Allentown School District. In her 19 years there, Heather also taught third and fourth grade. She then obtained a position as a reading and math intervention teacher, where she worked specifically with students needing academic assistance.
What drew Heather to Seven Generations was the school’s philosophy of integrating the environment into their curriculum. She grew up in a rural setting where her parents instilled a love of nature in her. Heather has treasured memories of this time, and looks forward to sharing her love of nature with the children at Seven Generations.
When she is not teaching, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading. She also enjoys her book club and watching movies with friends.
