Jennifer Gravatt

Special Education

Jen was born and raised in Media and Downingtown, PA. After graduating from college, she continued to live in Delaware and Chester Counties, until marrying and settling down in the Lehigh Valley. She currently lives in Orefield with her husband, her son, and stepdaughter.

Jen graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. After working for several years in the Museum field, Jen felt a call to Education. She pursued graduate studies in Special Education at West Chester University. Jen began teaching Special Education in 2004 and has taught in and around the Philadelphia area since that time.

After moving to the Lehigh Valley in 2015, Jen began looking for schools or districts in the area. She began substituting in several local school districts after the birth of her son in 2018. Jen found herself drawn to the mission statement of Seven Generations and the fact that there is a well developed environmental and community-based focus along with a strong academic program.

Jen loves spending time with her husband, son, step children, and black lab, Lily. She enjoys going to the mountains, reading, cooking and singing. Jen is active at her church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and working with the Family Promise ministry to the homeless. She is a member of and loves singing with the Lehigh Valley Chorus, a local chapter of Sweet Adelines International.
