Kaitlyn McConnell was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley and has wanted to be a teacher since before she can remember. She was inspired by all of her teachers while she was growing up to be the best role model for her future students. She graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2017 with her B.A. in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Bloomsburg, she went on to teach kindergarten in the Pen Argyl Area School district. Her most previous experience was teaching 4th grade at East Penn School District. Kaitlyn is currently attending Kutztown University in hopes to graduate with her M.Ed as a Reading Specialist in the next few years.

In Kaitlyn’s free time, she is most likely found reading or decorating her house. Every year she tries to beat her previous reading challenge! She loves decorating her house based on the current holiday and making it feel ‘homey’. She also enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two year old son!
