I graduated from Susquehanna University in 2010 with a major in elementary and early childhood education and a minor in psychology. I loved school when I was young and consider myself to be a life-long learner so I’ve always felt drawn to the field of education. Entering into teaching felt like calling and I never get tired of the rewarding feeling that comes when I see my students succeed! Prior to coming to Seven Gen, I had some experience in a special education classroom and as a long term sub in various grade levels. I also worked in a West Philadelphia Charter school as a 3rd grade teacher for two years. I have always been very passionate about helping students become their best selves in all aspects, beyond just academically, but ever since coming to Seven Gen in 2015, my passions have expanded to also include hands-on learning and discovering everything I can about our natural environment!
My hobbies outside of the classroom include hiking, playing card and board games, reading, doing craft projects, and spending time with my husband and two sons. I love learning new things about the outdoors and exploring new parks and trails. In the summer, I enjoy time at the beach or lake and camping with my family.
