Amanda Suro currently lives in Upper Macungie Township with her two daughters, Anna and Molly. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in elementary and special education, she moved to Colorado and taught middle school special education. While living in Washington she worked as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom. A year later they moved to Maryland where she taught K-3 special education and then moved into a Kindergarten and First-grade teaching positions. As a stay at home mom for the past 8 years, I was able to start a children’s photography business which allowed her to continue to work with children in a very different way. Although she cherishes her time at home with her girls, She is excited to again be back in the field of education.
Amanda Suro has worked in a lot of different environments and when she explored Seven Generations for her children she immediately knew that this is the place she would want to teach. She loves the child-centered philosophies of Seven Generations. She loves the freedom to be creative and develop meaningful, project-based learning while meeting the needs of each individual student. She wants her classroom to be a safe, nurturing and exciting place to learn and looks forward to instilling a love of learning into a new group of Fifth Graders. In her free time, she continues to pursue her passion for photography. She loves being outside, traveling, boxing and spending time with her girls.
